Pastor Joseph Prince said last week that the guys in New Creation Church are very vain! Hahaha! Yes indeed, I am feeling very vain too, lately! Been trying to make myself look very outstanding recently, better than my normal Sunday Best attire. Not as if I was trying to impress any girl. Didn't have that intention anyway. For myself, it was an act of worship to present the best of myself before God.
A girl friend who got me out for a supper break once while I was doing a night shift duty commented on my dressing then. Errmmm... but that was my uniform, in a brown polo-tee with dark blue cargo pants. It wasn't a choice. Hahaha!
Yes we didn't tally. I got what she meant. She took the effort to dress up like a princess when she met up with me, and there I was in the construction site attire. I didn't warn her, neither did I expect her to dress up so nice.
But I guess she had also seen me other times, or perhaps she also scrutinized all my photographs that I have displayed online. It's just my way of dressing, very simple and casual, but of course not till shabbily! I'm just in a 'let loose' mode and have the 'can't be bothered' kind of attitude after work.
What she said anyway impacted me. It didn't come to bother me that girls actually take note of us guys and the way we dress! So that is why you see me differently nowadays.
It does pay to dress up.
