Thick foliage may cause network problem at Sungei Buloh

I REFER to the feedback from Mr Clarence Ngian about mobile coverage at Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve in his Online Forum letter on Tuesday, 'An Asean heritage site, but there's scant mobile network'.

M1 has a base station at Sungei Buloh to provide coverage for the wetland reserve area. However, mobile reception may be affected in some parts of the reserve due to obstruction caused by the thick foliage.

To avoid logging on to mobile networks across the Causeway, Mr Ngian should switch the automatic network selection mode in his handset to the manual mode to enable him to log on to a local network.
